This project had curved Trex steps, Trex Transcend decking in Vintage Lantern and Treehouse, a gable-end patio cover, precast columns, a BBQ pop-out and so much more.

Are you ready for a “party on the patio?”  These folks are and TNT was there to make it happen.

Something that surprises many homeowners is that as licensed contractors we are required to present certain documents to every potential customer notifying them of their legal rights pertaining to the property lien process here in Oregon. While these forms can look daunting, they are designed to be for the consumer’s protection – not the contractor’s.  And I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve heard the following, “I’ve gotten bids from 3 other contractors and none of them gave me these documents.”  That should be a sign right there of the other contractors business practices.

A new issue for contractors nationwide is the EPA’s new lead based paint rules.  Any contractor that does work involving surfaces that could have lead paint on them now has to follow special practices and should be educated to that end.   This new requirement is called the “Certified Lead Based Paint Renovation Contractor” license and nearly every contractor that works on existing homes can be affected by it.

Again – the licensing agencies have made it very easy to protect yourself from shady contractors so be sure to do your homework before signing any contract.

Another great deck using Trex Transcends decking and railing.  Like the West Salem job we used Trex Transcends in Vintage Lantern for the border and Tree House for the main body of the deck.  But on this project the homeowners selected Vintage Lantern hand rails with Fortress Antique Bronze powder-coated balusters.  We also used Vintage Lantern for all the fascia and stair risers.
